Where To Watch Fireworks This Year



Happy Friday everyone, and happy independence day weekend! I hope everyone has fun and exciting plans with friends and loved ones. I know the beaches will be packed, bars and restaurants will be overflowing and of course tons and tons of cookouts. By the way, if you're having a cookout it may help to check out 2 of my previous blogs on games and food for cookouts! But after all the celebrating most will be looking for places to watch fireworks! Look no further. I have a list of great fireworks displays for you to check out!


Maryland

Salisbury Red White and Boom!

This is a free admission event located at James M Bennet High School . Gates will be open at 6:30 pm. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. There is plenty of free parking available. WRDE-FM Coast Country Radio 103.9 & 106.3 will be broadcasting LIVE on field.


OC MD DOWNTOWN: N. Division St. Beach Free music celebration on the Caroline St. Stage. Afterwards, fireworks will fill the sky over the ocean. Bring a beach chair or blanket & arrive early.

6:30PM: Background Music & KuttProductions Announcements 7:00PM: The U.S. Army Band Downrange performance at Caroline Street Stage and the beach 8:15PM: DJ Kutt Dance Music and Patriotic Music 9:30PM: Fireworks Display with Audioby Kutt Productions

UPTOWN: Northside Park, 125th St. Free music celebration starts off the evening. Then, enjoy a spectacular fireworks display. Bring a beach chair or blanket & arrive early.

8-9:30pm: DJ Knappy and Gizmo


Delaware

Hockessin Fireworks and Fireworks Express For a fun Fourth of July experience, park at the Greenbank Railroad Station, and the train will take you directly into Hockessin for the annual fireworks. You’re welcome to bring coolers, blankets and folding chairs aboard the train, and you can skip the traffic on your way out after the show. Or, if you’re already in Hockessin, enjoy the award-winning Independence Day parade at 3 p.m.


Wilmington Freedom Celebration Fireworks Riverfront festivities in Wilmington begin at 2 p.m. and end with a fireworks display around 9:45 p.m. More details to come at cityfestwilm.com.


Newark 4th of July Fireworks If you’re in Newark, enjoy vendors and entertainment at the University of Delaware Athletic Complex starting at 6 p.m. Fireworks are expected to start at dusk, around 9 p.m.


Dover 4th of July After a full day of festivities including food and art vendors around Legislative Mall, colonial-themed activities, free tours of the Old State House, Readings of the Declaration of Independence and a parade, fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:15 p.m. over Legislative Mall.

Laurel’s Annual 4th of July Celebration The city of Laurel kicks off the festivities with a car and truck show beginning at 4 p.m. on Front Street. There will be live music, food and other vendors and a parade throughout the evening. Fireworks will begin at dusk.


Virginia

Chincoteague Old Fashioned Fireworks Display

This event will be held Tuesday, Jul 4, 2023 from 10:00pm to 11:00pm at Chincoteague Carnival Grounds 3648 Main St Chincoteague, VA 23336. The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company puts on its annual fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day! Grab your lawn chairs and loved ones, and visit Chincoteague to create some lifelong memories!
