March 2022; Things To Look Forward To

Hey Everybody! Hope you’re having a great start to your weekend. We find ourselves at the beginning of a new month and what seems like the beginning of some warmer weather which, I for one, am ecstatic about. There are a lot of exciting things happening in March. One of which is a great new monthly deal at My Way Leases. You know you want to add a TV to your living room or bedroom for no extra cost! Shameless plug aside, there is also a lot more going on this March to look forward to. Whether you're a sports fan, entertainment fan or just a fan of longer days than keep on reading because I have some good news for you! March Madness- This goes without saying. This shouldn’t be news to anyone. If you're a sports fan, March madness is about as exciting as it gets. If you’re not a sports fan consider this our apology as march madness somewhat takes over television for most of the month. Every year you have Cinderella stories of small colleges surprising everyone and upsetting the highly favored powerhouse. And with sports betting on the rise you can only imagine how much more popular and intense it’ll be this year.

Daylight Savings Time- Maybe this is just a sign of me getting old but this may be the thing I’m looking forward to most this year. Warmer, longer days with the sun just setting around 8pm. I personally can’t stand getting off work at 5 or 6 and it is already being pitch black outside. That can really zap my motivation and make the day feel like it’s over. On Sunday March 13th (Happy Birthday shout out to my little brother), we can all set our clocks set forward one hour and start enjoying our long, bright evenings.

St. Patrick's Day- Maybe in my younger days this one would have taken the number one spot on this list but I’m sure there’s plenty of young, or young at heart, people with this marked on their calendars. This is one of the most celebrated holidays and you can find many places with green dyed food and beverage specials. If you are one that likes to go out to the bars and have a good time then this is your Christmas! Everyone be safe, always find a ride and have a great St. Patrick's Day!

The Batman is in Theaters- Whether you like it or not, no one can deny that superhero movies have taken over the big screen. Constantly setting and breaking their own box office records, these movies are always the most anticipated, most watched and most talked about movies of the year. A lot of them are part of a “universe” and all string together and can be a little overwhelming to think about starting from the beginning or just jumping in the middle. Well lucky for you, this movie is about Batman and if you are alive and aware then you more than likely know of Batman.

Award Season- See this list has a little something for everyone! We are living in the golden era of television and entertainment. And March is a month full of recognizing some of the best in the business. We will get to see the Directors Guild, Writers Guild, BAFTA’s and Critics Choice Awards this month. Then of course, the Oscars are on March 27th this year and are always a heavily watched event with the biggest of names in attendance.
