Where to Donate and Volunteer Locally
Every so often I’m going to revisit one of my favorite blog topics, local places to donate or volunteer! As part of the eastern shore community, My Way Leases is always looking for ways to help their friends, family and neighbors. The past year has been unprecedented and difficult to say the least. Many have lost jobs, homes, loved ones and more. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit hard but one thing remains true. It’s always easier to get through something together. With traveling restrictions and social distancing you most likely find yourself with a decent amount of free time and thanks to taxes and the relief bill you may have some extra money in your account. This is a great time to utilize any extra time or money you may have and donate or volunteer at one of the many great local organizations that make the community a better place. The great thing about donating and volunteering is it doesn’t matter how much or how little you have to give, every second or cent is appreciated. I’ve personally been a part of the eastern shore for 12 years and even though I wasn’t born here I consider this place my home and that’s because of the people around here. It’s a special place and these blog posts are less about convincing you to help others (which I know most of you are already) and more about connecting you to the different organizations who can help you find where to help.
